Peacefully at her home surrounded by the love of her family, on Thursday, February 16th, 2012. Irene Bertha Bergeron (nee Leeson), of Owen Sound, at the age of 84 years. Dearly beloved wife of Frank Bergeron. Loving mother of Robert Bergeron and his wife, Barbara, Barry Bergeron and Valerie McCrae and her husband, Steven, all of Owen Sound. Proud grandmother of Veronica (Matt), Lyndsay (Carlisle), Kristen (Jay), Ryan (Morgan), Marc (Jenna), Michelle, Kevin (Stephanie), Corey (Heather) and great-grandmother of Jordan, Reid, Lucas, Landon and Matthew. Dear sister of Dennis Leeson and his wife, Molly, of Hamilton and Richard Leeson and his wife, Marie, of Cleveland, Ohio. Predeceased by her parents, Dennis and Bertha Leeson and her brother, Robert Leeson.
Friends may call at the BRIAN E. WOOD FUNERAL HOME, 250 – 14th Street West, Owen Sound, Ontario N4K – 3X8 (519-376-7492) on Monday evening from 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. A Memorial Service for Irene Bergeron will be held in the Funeral Home Chapel on Tuesday, February 21st, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. with Dr. Brad Clark officiating. Interment in Greenwood Cemetery. If so desired, the family would appreciate donations to the Owen Sound Regional Hospital Foundation – Oncology Department as your expression of sympathy.
