Mr. Russell Miles

Peacefully with his family by his side, at the Grey Bruce Health Services in Owen Sound, on Friday morning, January 8th, 2010.  Russell John Miles, of Owen Sound completed an 84 year journey that started on May 10th, 1925 in Quebec.  Dearly beloved husband of Ruth Miles (nee Povelofskie).  Loving father of Bonnie Withrow and her husband, Joe, of Ohio, Dolly Rissling and her husband, Doug, of Saskatchewan and Ryan Miles, of Owen Sound.   Proud grandfather of Amanda and Daryl Rissling, Jason, Aaron and Brianna Miles, Noah and Benjamin Withrow and step-grandfather of Christopher, Steven, Dustin and Amanda Withrow.  Dear brother of Verna Carroll, of British Columbia and Elva Westover, of Keswick.  Predeceased by his parents, William and Emma Miles; his son, Reynold Miles; his brothers-in-law, Albert Carroll and James Westover.  Friends may call at the BRIAN E. WOOD FUNERAL HOME, 250 – 14th Street West, Owen Sound, Ontario N4K – 3X8 (519-376-7492)  on Monday evening from 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. and one hour prior to service.  A Funeral Service for Russell Miles will be held in the Funeral Home Chapel on Tuesday, January 12th, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. with Leslie Beddoe officiating.  Interment in Brampton Cemetery, 10 Wilson Avenue, Brampton, on Wednesday, January 13th, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. If so desired, the family would appreciate donations to the Parkinson Society of Canada, as your expression of sympathy.
