The family of Margaret Craig Telford (nee White) of Owen Sound is saddened by her passing on Monday morning, February 1st, 2010, at the Grey Bruce Health Services in Owen Sound. She is now at rest, safe in the arms of Jesus. Dearly beloved wife of Edward “Ted” Telford for 71 ½ years. Loving mother of Joyce Cowie and her husband, Alex, of Oshawa, Joan Telford, of Owen Sound and Dr. Edward Telford and his partner, Nancy Payne, of St. Thomas. Proud grandmother of Kimberley (Brent), Mitzi (Phil), Michelle (Neil), Craig, Kirk, Claire and great-grandmother of Callum, Korey, Katlyn, Jason, Jake. Margaret will be sadly missed by her two special nieces of the United Kingdom and her sister-in-law, Betty Whyte, of Scotland. Predeceased by her parents, Cooper and Jessie White, her brothers, Robert White, John Whyte, James Cameron; her sister, Jessie White; her sister-in-law, Elsie Cameron; her brother-in-law, Robert Bolton; her two special nephews. Margaret was born in Inverkip, Scotland on January 22nd, 1920. She celebrated her 90th birthday two weeks ago. She came to Owen Sound in April 1958 and began working for the General and Marine Hospital as a ward clerk on 2B for twenty-five years where she was affectionately known to her friends as Mrs. T. She was a very special mother and lady and will be deeply missed. A Private Family Service will be held at the Salvation Army Community Church, 365 – 14th Street West, Owen Sound on Friday, February 5th, 2010 with Captain Colin and Maureen Bain officiating. Interment in Greenwood Cemetery.
