Peacefully at the Grey Bruce Health Services in Owen Sound, on Thursday morning, March 11th, 2010. James Murray Slumskie, of R. R. #7, Owen Sound, at the age of 85 years. Dearly beloved husband of Ethel Kellough-Slumskie (nee Kean) and the late Margaret Slumskie (nee Kreutzweiser). Loving father of Jim Slumskie and his wife, Lynda, of Owen Sound, Joanne Driscoll and her husband, Jack, of Guelph and Patti Blue and her husband, Tom Koebel, of Kitchener and step-father of Penny Walpole and her husband, Bill and their family, of Owen Sound. Proud grandfather of Ryan (Allisa), Amanda, Natasha (Paul) and Melissa. Dear brother-in-law of Lois Slumskie, Dorothy Parker and Muriel Kreutzweiser. Predeceased by his parents, Albert and Mary Slumskie; his brothers, William and Bert Slumskie; his sister, Jean Cruickshank; his brother-in-law, Doug Cruickshank. A Private Funeral Service for Murray Slumskie will be held in the Chapel of the BRIAN E. WOOD FUNERAL HOME, 250 – 14th Street West, Owen Sound, Ontario N4K – 3X8 (519-376-7492) on Saturday, March 13th with Rev. Kristal McGee officiating. Interment in Greenwood Cemetery.
