Mrs. Catherine Harrison

Tuesday, July 23, 1918 - Saturday, March 13, 2010

Peacefully at Kelso Villa surrounded by the love of her family, on Saturday evening, March 13th, 2010. Catherine Roberta Harrison (nee Young), a lifetime resident of Owen Sound and Sydenham Township at the age of 91 years. Dearly beloved wife of the late John Harrison.  Loving mother of Jamie Harrison, of Owen Sound and Frederick Harrison, of Toronto. Proud grandmother of Jason (Tracy) Harrison, of Waterloo and Michael (Lisa) Harrison, of Owen Sound and great-grandmother of Megan and Drake. Dear sister of James Young, of St. Thomas and step-sister of Winifred (Russell) Penny, of London.  Catherine will be sadly missed by her son-in-law, Robert Summerhurst, Raetta’s family, Robin, Steve, Ryan, Marie, Tanner and Taylor and her many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents, Thomas and Catherine Young; her step-father, William Haston; her daughter, Catherine Brewster; her daughter-in-law, Raetta Harrison; her sister, Isobel Donaldson; her brother-in-law, Tom Donaldson; her sister-in-law, Viola Young. Friends may call at the BRIAN E. WOOD FUNERAL HOME, 250 – 14th Street West, Owen Sound, Ontario N4K – 3X8 (519-376-7492) on Tuesday from 2:00 – 4:00 and 7:00 – 9:00 p.m.  A Funeral Service for Catherine Harrison will be held in the Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday, March 17th at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Ralph Schmidt officiating.
