Mrs. Melva Peterson

Peacefully at University Hospital in London, on Sunday morning, June 6th, 2010.  Melva Muriel Peterson (nee McPhatter), of R. R. #1 Wiarton, at the age of 74 years.  Dearly beloved wife of Vern Peterson.  Loving mother of Paul Danard and his wife, Heather, of Owen Sound and Karen Eng and her husband, Peter, of Mississauga and step-mother of Mark Peterson and his wife, Karen and Virginia Fisher and her husband, David, both of British Columbia. Proud grandmother of Isaac and Roslyn; step-grandmother of Matthew, Neko, Kelly, Gregory and Shannon and step-great-grandmother of Geena, Hannah and Brynn.  Dear sister of Ken McPhatter and his wife, Mae, of Barrie and sister-in-law of Ruth McPhatter, of Meaford. Predeceased by her parents, Alan and Bertha McPhatter; her brothers, Charlie and Bill McPhatter; her step-sons, Luke and Daniel Peterson; her step-grandson, Jamie Peterson. Friends may call at the BRIAN E. WOOD FUNERAL HOME, 250 – 14th Street West, Owen Sound, Ontario N4K – 3X8 (519-376-7492) on Tuesday evening from 7:00 – 9:00 p.m.  A Funeral Service for Melva Peterson will be held in the Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday, June 9th, 2010 at 11:00 with Pastor David Oppertshauser officiating. Interment in McLean’s Cemetery, Bognor. If so desired, the family would appreciate donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Cancer Society as your expression of sympathy.
