Mr. Cecil Osborne

Peacefully surrounded by the love of his family, at Summit Place in Owen Sound, on Monday afternoon, July 26th, 2010. Cecil Robert Osborne, of Owen Sound, at the age of 91 years. Dearly beloved husband of the late June Osborne (nee Little). Loving father of Dorothy Patton, of Owen Sound, Norm Osborne and his wife, Marie, of Toronto, Robert Osborne and his wife, Elaine, of Chatsworth, Ronnie Osborne and his wife, Chris, of Oshawa, Caroline Hutchinson and her husband, Larry, of Rockford and Paul Osborne and his wife, Penny, of Owen Sound.  Proud grandfather of many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.  Dear brother of Lawrence Osborne, of Hanover and brother-in-law of Ron Little and his friend, Rose Shular, of Southampton.  Predeceased by his parents, Henry and Mae Osborne: his son, Cecil Osborne Jr.; his daughter-in-law, Beth Osborne; his son-in-law, Frank Patton; his brothers, Carl, Fred, Bill and Elwood Osborne; his sisters, Ruby Osborne and Leona Miller; his sister-in-law, Yvonne Gingrich; his brother-in-law, Mac Gingrich. Friends and family may call at the BRIAN E. WOOD FUNERAL HOME, 250 – 14th Street West, Owen Sound, Ontario N4K – 3X8 (519-376-7492) on Wednesday from 2:00 – 4:00 and 7:00 – 9:00 p.m.  A Funeral Service for Cecil Osborne will be held in the Funeral Home Chapel on Thursday, July 29th at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Ted Creen officiating.  Interment in Mount Pleasant Cemetery.  If so desired, the family would appreciate donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation as your expression of sympathy.
