Mrs. Evelyn Hewitson

Peacefully at Summit Place in Owen Sound, on Wednesday morning, July 28th, 2010. Clara Evelyn Hewitson (nee Baird), of Owen Sound, in her 100th year. Dearly beloved wife of the late Harold V. Hewitson.  Loving mother of Bill (Isabel) Hewitson, of R.R. #5, Owen Sound, Carol (Larry) Harron, of Brampton, Murray (Pat) Hewitson, of Barrie and Gwen (Ken) Lawrie, of Whitby. Proud grandmother of Joanne (Sean), Andrew, Debbie (Garnet), Doug (Penny), Tim, Meredith (Chris), Erinn, Leeanne (Rick), Harold (Julie) and great-grandmother of Ben, Sarah, Devyn, Brooke, Mackenzie, Meaghan, Christina, Rebecca, Kashias, Christina (Derek), Kara, Meaghan, Jessica, Jacqueline and great-great-grandmother of Taylor and John.  Dear sister of Winnifred Howe, of Kincardine.  Predeceased by her parents, Robert and Margaret Baird; her grandson, Paul Harron; her step-son, Allen Hewitson; her great-grandson, Michael Karns; her sisters, Lola Harris, Lenore Hooey, Marjorie Reid; her brothers-in-law, Goldie Harris, Mervin Hooey, Morris Reid, Ed Howe. Friends and family may call at the BRIAN E. WOOD FUNERAL HOME, 250 – 14th Street West, Owen Sound, Ontario N4K – 3X8 (519-376-7492) on Monday evening from 7:00 – 9:00 p.m.  A Funeral Service for Evelyn Hewitson will be held in the Funeral Home Chapel on Tuesday morning, August 3rd, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Deborah McKellar officiating.  Interment in Greenwood Cemetery.  If so desired, the family would appreciate donations to the North Derby United Church, the Alzheimer Society of Grey-Bruce or the charity of your choice as your expression of sympathy.
